It's very simple - it's a list, and it is supposed to pull data like Title, Office, Mobile Phone, Work Phone, Email Address etc. from Active Directory into each column. This basically works fine for all fields except the ones with person or group field type. But it dont lookup for Distribution List of my organisation. I raised ticket with microsoft and they are telling that this is limitation is sharepoint that it will not lookup distribution groups.

However, in quick edit mode, you can’t type the SharePoint User group on the column. If so, I suggest you try another browser to check the result.
