It is thinned prior to application, about one part naptha. It can be brushed on with a short bristle brush (chop the bristles down on one of the cheap chip brushes) or applied with a rag and is worked into the pores with then across the grain.

Looking at the Crystalac website, they state not to use Crystalac with shellac. I don't know if it and Brite-Tone are the same product or not.

WebJun 30, 2016 · The only time I use it is on a multipiece venered panel, which always has hairline gaps that stick out like a sore thumb so a clear filler helps hid them, or on a wood like oak that is going to be engraved and filled with color. Ill apply filler, do the cnc, paint the carving, then sand. That way the paint doesnt bleed into the grain.
